Balfour tops contracts league table after HS2 awards

Construction News Balfour Beatty has risen to the top of the contracts league in August due to their HS2 phase one contract.  They haven’t been in pole position since April 2016. Vinci, a fellow joint venture contractor, came in second place and not far behind is Kier, Costain and Skanska – all firms involved on the HS2.  Laing O’Rourke are in third place with the confirmation of its £1bn Manchester Airport contract. Accordingly to construction information specialist – Glenigan - Sir Robert McAlphine is now top of the rolling 12-month league of work by value, followed by Laing O’Rourke and Balfour Beatty.
