Developer joins forces with Uber to ditch parking spaces

Posted in: CMT Group Blog
Construction News Moda, a private rented sector specialist, is in talks with taxi app Uber in a bid to reduce car-parking places in its city centre developments. The scheme will see residents receive up to £100 in Uber credits each month if they agree not to have a car parking space. Space previously used for car parking will be swapped for greater amenities within the developments such as fitness centres and media rooms. Moda will be delivering more than 6,000 apartments in UK cities such as London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool and Birmingham. Moda’s buildings are created for rent only and include shared areas that mimic a high-end hotel.
