Virtual reality systems to be implemented across construction sites

Construction News Virtual reality systems that were developed on Crossrail by Laing O’Rourke, are set to be implemented across constructions sites with the intention that they cut costs by up to 25%.  The system will provide the industry with both augmented and virtual reality to improve the construction process at every stage. Visualisation specialist Soluis, is leading a consortium by developing the wearable system.  Working alongside Soluis are AECOM, Doosan Babcock, Laing O’Rourke, Autodesk and Microsoft.
