A joint venture between Balfour Beatty and Mott MacDonald has secured a £115m Highways England Asset Support Contract extension for Area 10. This area covers Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
Over the past 5 years, the joint venture has maintained and improved 2220 structures and 500km of Area 10 motorway network. The contract extension will run for 17 months to March 2019.
The current contract delivers a range of service delivery and maintenance activities which includes a 24/7 incident response which ensures the safe operation of the network covered by Area 10.
