Hanson General Purpose cement is a quality-assured Portland Limestone cement manufactured to comply with the requirements of EN 197-1 achieving strength class 32,5R or 42.5N (dependent on the version being manufactured at any given point).

Hanson General Purpose cement is produced using carefully selected raw materials and strict quality control throughout each stage of the manufacturing process to ensure a consistent final product is achieved.

Hanson General Purpose cement is commonly used cement for a wide range of applications. These applications cover but are not limited to general purpose concrete, mortar, render and screeds.

NOTE: Where increased resistance to sulfates is required Hanson Low Carbon/Sulfate-Resisting cement should be used.

Hanson General Purpose cement is CE Marked in accordance with Constructions Products Regulation 305/2011/EU. In addition to applying a system of factory production control, based on ISO 9001 and defined in BS EN 197-2, independent sampling and testing of the Hanson General Purpose cement, known as Assessment and Verification of Constancy of Performance (AVCP) System 1+, also confirms conformity with all the requirements of BS EN 197-1.

Bags should be stored unopened, clear of the ground, in cool dry conditions and protected from excessive draft and all sources of moisture. The maximum shelf life of packed cement is stated on the bag.

Cement causes skin, eye and respiratory irritation, severe burns and dermatitis. Always wear suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) and refer to the full Material Safety Data Sheet for further information.
