Balfour Beatty has risen to the top of the contracts league in August due to their HS2 phase one contract. They haven’t been in pole position since April 2016.
Vinci, a fellow joint venture contractor, came in second place and not far behind is Kier, Costain and Skanska – all firms involved on the HS2. Laing O’Rourke are in third place with the confirmation of its £1bn Manchester Airport contract.
Accordingly to construction information specialist – Glenigan - Sir Robert McAlphine is now top of the rolling 12-month league of work by value, followed by Laing O’Rourke and Balfour Beatty.
