Soon set to celebrate their 40th birthday, the Tamdown Foundation brings together a number of chosen charities and acts as a focal point for a number of fundraising activities that are carried out throughout the year. All charities are chosen by those within Tamdown Group and include the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Farleigh Hospice and the Special Care Baby Unit at Broomfield Hospital. Every year, as one of many popular activities, Tamdown Foundation host the ‘Tamdown Triathlon’. The event consists of an 8 mile mountain bike ride, 1 mile canoe and a 3 mile run.
Having assisted with charity events further afield, we decided to try our hand at a new challenge with the added benefit of raising money for charities closer to home. So on 1st April, CMT’s very own Dean and Mark accepted the challenge both achieving excellent results helping the Tamdown Foundation achieve their monetary target of £100,000!
