London Mayor urged to promote offsite construction boom

In a bid to solve London’s housing crisis, the London Mayor - Sadiq Khan - is being urged to promote an offsite construction boom and encourage more modular housing. A standard design code for offsite manufacturing is being encouraged, as is the designation of public land and faster planning in a bid to solve the Capital’s housing crisis. Prefabricated homes are now seen as the prefect solution to the capital’s need to speed up construction.  Their construction are also more environmentally-friendly vs. traditional construction methods.
