Severn Trent parts company with their Preferred Contractors on £100m Upgrade

Severn Trent has parted company with their Preferred Supplier on the Frankley Water Treatment Works near Birmingham. The joint venture, between Interserve and Kier, has been terminated following a 6-month Early Contractor Involvement period.   It is now understood that Severn Trent are now talking to other contractors. North Midlands are said to be one of the front-runners. The Frankley upgrade is part of Severn Trent Water’s Birmingham Resilience Project worth a total of £300m.
