Artwork, Proofing & Custom Branding Policy
1. Proof Approval & Accuracy
Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving all artwork proofs. Once a proof is approved, no changes can be made, and CMT Equipment Ltd is not liable for any errors, omissions, or discrepancies. Approving a proof confirms that all elements (logos, colours, layout, spelling, etc.) are correct and final.
2. Colour Reproduction
Digital proofs are computer-generated and colours may differ slightly from the final product. Pantone colours will be matched to within standard commercial tolerances, but exact matches cannot be guaranteed due to differences in materials, surfaces, and print processes.
3. Intellectual Property & Rights
By submitting content for use (e.g., logos, slogans, designs), customers confirm they hold the appropriate rights or licenses to use that content. CMT Equipment Ltd accepts no liability for unauthorised use of copyrighted or trademarked materials. Customers assume all legal responsibility for any resulting infringement or damages.
4. Ownership of Designs & Artwork
All designs, proofs, and artwork created by CMT Equipment Ltd remain the property of CMT Equipment Ltd unless paid for in full. Reuse, modification, or distribution of any proofing materials or artwork without prior permission is not permitted.
5. Customised Goods – Cancellations & Returns
Customised, branded, or made-to-order products are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or returned once production has started. This includes items that are modified, printed, embroidered, engraved, or otherwise altered to customer specification.
6. Changes & Production
Any changes to artwork or specifications must be requested before proof approval. Delays in proof approval may affect production timelines and delivery dates.
7. Stocking Agreements (where applicable)
The following terms apply only where a formal Stocking Agreement has been signed between the customer and CMT Equipment Ltd—typically used for printed transfers or pre-branded stock held on call-off:
- If all the items are not purchased within the time stated on the agreement, CMT Equipment Ltd will raise an invoice for the remaining items unless the agreement is renewed. This will be payable on the agreed terms.
- If the design/specification of the items change during the agreed period, CMT Equipment Ltd will raise an invoice for the remaining original stock. This will be payable on the agreed terms.
- The items (or other goods manufactured with them) cannot be cancelled or returned.
