These construction timber (thick) self drilling screws are for fixing steel sheets onto steel and timber substrates. The self drilling screws have a coarse self-tapping thread and 6 ribs on the head to assist completion of countersinking thick. They can screw up timber to steel up to 12mm thick. Timber (light) screws all come with corrosion resistant coatings to cope with the elements. When the wings hit the metal they will break off to permit the thread to self-tap into the metal.
