How to Use

Step 1: Place on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Allow at least 10cm clearance on all sides. Keep clear of curtains, tea towels, and all flammable materials.

Step 2: Connect to a 220-240V, 50-60Hz mains socket. The cable is 0.75m. Position the toaster close to the socket.

Step 3: Turn the browning dial to the preferred level. Level 1 is lightest, level 7 is darkest. The manufacturer recommends level 4-5 as a starting point.

Step 4: Insert one slice of bread per slot. Lower the lever until it snaps into place.

Step 5: For frozen bread, press Defrost after lowering the lever. For cold toast, press Reheat. For standard toasting, leave both unactivated.

Step 6: The toast ejects automatically and the element switches off when the cycle completes.

Step 7: Press Cancel at any point to stop the cycle and eject the bread immediately.

Step 8: Allow to cool before cleaning. Slide out the crumb tray, empty, and wipe clean. Wipe the stainless steel exterior with a soft slightly damp cloth.

Common Mistakes

• Placing near flammable materials: keep clear of curtains, tea towels, and paper towels at all times. Do not store anything on top of the toaster.

• Using defrost on fresh bread: this extends the cycle for frozen bread. It will over-toast fresh bread. Use the standard cycle for fresh bread.

• Using reheat for fresh untoasted bread: reheat is for warming already-toasted bread. It does not run a full browning cycle.

• Leaving the toaster unattended: the manual specifies the appliance must be supervised at all times during operation.

• Attempting to remove stuck bread with metal utensils: unplug and allow to cool first. Never insert metal objects into the slots.

• Failing to maintain the crumb tray: a build-up of crumbs is a fire risk. Empty the tray regularly.
