Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment

Electrical and electronic recycling

Buying a new electrical or electronic item from us? From 1st January 2021, as part of our commitment to reducing the amount of unwanted electrical waste being incinerated or sent to landfill sites, we’ll ensure your old electricals are recycled. Everything with a plug, battery or cable can be recycled or turned into something useful.

Why recycle?

Unwanted electrical equipment is the UKs fastest growing type of waste. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and human health.

We can help.

We are pleased to offer our customers the chance to recycle their old electrical items. We will collect any large electrical or electronic (EE) products from your business if you’ve bought a like-for-like product from CMT Equipment Ltd. There is a collection fee of £45 per items not like-for-like. Payments are made at the time of booking, just get in touch on telephone number 020 8311 1144.

Please note, electrical waste collection is not applicable to the Channel Islands or Isle of Man. Collection will be done by CMT Equipment Ltd delivery service.

RecycleTo help with your recycling habits, all new electrical products are marked with a crossed-out wheelie bin symbol. Meaning they should not be disposed of with your household waste. We kindly ask that when you’re disposing of any electrical or electronic items that you do so correctly. You can also find local recycling points for your old electricals here.
