Who is this for

How to use

Step 1: Position the unit on a level, stable surface with adequate ventilation, allow at least 100mm clearance at the rear and sides. Do not position directly against a wall without rear clearance.

Step 2: If required, reverse the door hinge before positioning against a wall or adjacent unit. Refer to the instruction manual for the hinge reversal procedure.

Step 3: Use the adjustable feet to level the unit on any uneven surface, levelling ensures the door seals correctly and the compressor operates efficiently.

Step 4: Connect to a standard 240V mains socket. Allow two hours for the interior to reach operating temperature before loading with food and drinks.

Step 5: Set the thermostat dial to the mid-position for initial operation and adjust to suit ambient temperature and cooling requirements.

Step 6: Load without overfilling, leave space for air to circulate between items. Do not block the internal cooling vents at the rear of the interior.

Common mistakes

• Insufficient rear ventilation clearance: Positioning the unit flush against a wall restricts the condenser and reduces cooling performance. Always allow at least 100mm rear clearance.

• Loading before the unit has reached operating temperature: Allow two hours after switching on before loading. Loading immediately after switch-on means food goes into a fridge that has not stabilised and may not reach safe refrigeration temperature quickly enough.

• Operating in ambient temperatures below 10°C: Climate class N and ST units require a minimum ambient temperature of 10°C to operate correctly. In unheated site offices or cabins during winter, performance will be inconsistent below this threshold.

• Using in outbuildings: The manufacturer specifies this unit is not suitable for outbuilding installation. Unheated outbuildings typically fall below the minimum climate class operating temperature during UK winters.

• Expecting freezing capability: The chiller zone runs colder than the main compartment but is not a freezer. It is not suitable for freezing food or long-term frozen storage.

Safety

This appliance operates on 220–240V mains supply only. Do not use on 110V site transformer supplies. Ensure the mains socket is accessible and the unit can be unplugged quickly if required. Do not operate with a damaged cable or plug. The flame-retardant back panel is a safety feature, do not remove or cover the rear of the unit. Keep ventilation clearance at the rear at all times. Dispose of at end of life in accordance with WEEE Regulations, do not place in general waste.

Maintenance

Defrost manually when ice build-up is visible in the chiller zone. Switch off, unplug, and allow ice to melt naturally, do not use sharp objects to remove ice. Clean the interior with a mild detergent solution and dry thoroughly before switching back on. Wipe the door seal regularly and check for cracking or compression loss. Clean the rear condenser area periodically with a soft brush to remove dust. Check the adjustable feet periodically to confirm the unit remains level.
