Asphalt Diamond Blade – Professional – 8mm/10mm Segment – Undercut Protected – OTEC D20 is developed for professional contractors working on UK roadworks, utilities and infrastructure projects where asphalt and abrasive materials are the primary cutting challenge.
It is intended for cutting asphalt, green concrete, cement screed, render, lignacite blocks and abrasive concrete products. The undercut protected segment design helps prevent premature steel core erosion caused by abrasive surfaces, supporting improved blade stability and service life.
The D20 is not suitable for metal, reinforced concrete or very hard materials such as granite and engineering bricks. It should be specified specifically for asphalt-led and high-abrasion applications.
As a high-performance alternative to the OTEC D20 300x20mm, the OTEC D20P 300x20mm Professional Plus is also available, offering enhanced cutting speeds and extended service life for intensive site use.

Before use:
Ensure the blade type and specification are suitable for the material being cut. Inspect the blade for cracking, segment detachment, undercutting of the steel core, uneven wear, or other defects. Confirm correct rotation direction and bore compatibility with the machine spindle. Wear appropriate PPE and ensure guards are correctly fitted.
During use:
Do not apply excessive force when cutting. Allow the blade to cut at its designed speed and take regular cooling breaks. If overheating occurs, reassess material suitability. A blunt blade may be refreshed by cutting a soft abrasive material such as brick or block. Ensure the material being cut is firmly secured and frequently inspect the blade for damage.
Wet cutting:
If wet cutting is used, ensure a continuous and adequate water supply to both sides of the blade.
Is the D20 suitable for asphalt cutting?
