Who is this for

How to use

Step 1: Place the fan on a level, stable floor surface with the U-shape base seated flat. Ensure the base feet are fully in contact with the floor before switching on.

Step 2: Plug into a standard 240V 13A UK mains socket. The cable is 3m, fully unwind before use. Do not use with a coiled extension lead.

Step 3: Set the tilt angle by adjusting the fan head to the required position, angled upward to project airflow across a larger space, level for direct forward projection, or angled downward toward a floor-level drying area. Lock the tilt in position before switching on.

Step 4: Select the required speed using the three push-button switches: button 1 is low, button 2 is medium, button 3 is high. Start on low and increase if airflow is insufficient for the space.

Step 5: Switch off and unplug from the mains when leaving the space unattended for extended periods.

Common mistakes

• Using with a coiled extension lead: A partially or fully coiled extension cable overheats under sustained 120W load. Always fully unwind extension leads before connecting. Use a lead rated for the current draw.

• Placing on an uneven or debris-covered floor: The U-base requires a level floor to sit stably. On uneven or cluttered workshop floors the unit can tip. Clear the area and confirm the base is fully seated before switching on.

• Using for fume or chemical extraction: This fan circulates air but does not filter or extract it. It is not suitable for removing welding fumes, spray paint vapour, or chemical fumes. Use a rated extraction system for those applications.

• Operating in wet or damp conditions: This fan carries no IP rating for moisture resistance. Wet floors, condensation, or proximity to water sources are electrical safety hazards with any non-rated electrical equipment.

• Assuming the wire grill prevents all blade contact: The wire grill reduces the risk of accidental blade contact but is not a guard against deliberate or forceful insertion of objects. Keep children and loose materials away from the front of the fan during operation.

Safety

This fan is designed for indoor use on a standard 240V ~ 50/60Hz 13A mains supply only. Do not use in wet, damp, or rain-exposed locations. Do not use in explosive or flammable atmospheres. Do not use for fume, vapour, or chemical extraction. Keep the power cable clear of the base and away from walkways. Do not operate with a damaged cable, plug, or grill. If the unit shows any sign of damage, discontinue use immediately. CE, ROHS, and UKCA certified in compliance with UK Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Maintenance

Switch off and unplug before any cleaning or maintenance. Remove dust from the wire grill and blade surfaces using a dry brush or compressed air, do not use liquids or spray cleaners on the motor housing. Wipe the chrome grill and base with a dry or lightly damp cloth if soiled. Check that the tilt locking mechanism holds securely before each use. Store in a dry, ventilated location when not in use for extended periods.
