Log in to access trade discountsHard Materials Diamond Blade – Professional – 12mm Segment – OTEC L5P is developed for professional use on UK construction and civil engineering sites where very hard materials place increased demands on blade performance.
It is intended for contractors cutting very hard concrete, granite, hard natural stone, engineering bricks, abrasive materials such as sandstone and clay products. The blade is particularly suited to structural applications such as pile caps and dense reinforced sections where cutting resistance is high and stability is critical.
The L5P is not suitable for asphalt materials. It should not be specified for asphalt-based applications and should be used within its intended metal-led application range.
For these materials we would recommend a blade more specific to those materials, including the OTEC D20, our professional asphalt blade.

Before use:
Ensure the blade type and specification are suitable for the material being cut. Inspect for cracking, segment detachment, undercutting of the steel core or uneven wear. Confirm correct rotation direction and bore compatibility with the machine spindle. Wear appropriate PPE and ensure guards are correctly fitted.
During use:
Do not apply excessive force. Allow the blade to cut at its designed speed and take cooling breaks where required. If overheating occurs, reassess material suitability. Ensure material is securely positioned and regularly inspect the blade for signs of damage.
Wet cutting:
If wet cutting is used, ensure adequate water supply is directed to both sides of the blade.
