Abrasive Materials & Asphalt Multi Purpose Diamond Blade – Professional – 10mm Segment – Undercut Protected – OTEC X19P is developed for professional contractors carrying out UK roadworks, utility repairs and landscaping projects where asphalt and highly abrasive materials are the primary cutting challenge.
It is intended for cutting asphalt, green concrete, sandstone, cement screed, concrete blocks, roof tiles and abrasive paviors. The hard bond configuration is designed to withstand abrasive wear that would rapidly reduce the life of a standard concrete blade.
The X19P is not recommended for very hard materials such as granite or engineering bricks, and it is not suitable for metal cutting. Using this blade on dense hard concrete may increase cutting time and reduce overall productivity.
Optimise your tool kit: Pair the OTEC D18P for structural hard-materials with the OTEC X19P for abrasive groundworks to ensure the lowest cost-per-cut across any UK site.
✓ Hard bond configuration designed to resist rapid wear on abrasive surfaces
✓ Suitable for asphalt, green concrete, sandstone and cement screed
✓ Designed to reduce the “sandpaper effect” commonly experienced on abrasive cuts
✓ Supports improved cost-per-cut performance in roadworks applications
✓ Suitable for concrete blocks, roof tiles and abrasive paviors
✓ Maintains stable cutting behaviour across mixed trenching works
✓ Undercut protection helps prevent premature steel centre wear
✓ Developed for consistent daily professional use in utilities and reinstatement projects

Before use:
Ensure the blade type and specification are suitable for the material being cut. Inspect the blade for cracking, segment detachment, undercutting of the steel core, uneven wear, or other defects. Confirm correct rotation direction and bore compatibility with the machine spindle. Wear appropriate PPE and ensure guards are correctly fitted.
During use:
Do not apply excessive force when cutting. Allow the blade to cut at its designed speed and take regular cooling breaks. If overheating occurs, reassess material suitability. A blunt blade may be refreshed by cutting a soft abrasive material such as brick or block. Ensure the material being cut is firmly secured and frequently inspect the blade for damage.
Wet cutting:
If wet cutting is used, ensure a continuous and adequate water supply to both sides of the blade.
Is the X19P suitable for asphalt cutting?
Yes. The X19P is optimised specifically for asphalt and highly abrasive materials.
Can this blade be used on sandstone and abrasive pavers?
Yes. It is designed for abrasive stone and concrete products where wear resistance is critical.
Is the X19P suitable for granite or very hard concrete?
No. It is not recommended for very hard materials such as granite or engineering bricks.
Can this blade cut metal?
No. It should not be specified for steel, rebar or ductile iron pipe.
What does undercut protection provide?
Undercut protection helps prevent premature steel centre wear when cutting abrasive materials.
Is this blade compliant with UK safety standards?
Yes. The X19P conforms to EN13236 and is engineered for safe running speeds in professional site environments.
