Who is this for
Scaffolders, structural steel erectors, and height workers who carry a scaffold spanner as a primary hand tool and need it stored, accessible, and tethered without relying on a conventional single-anchor tool frog or belt clip. How to use
Step 1: Open the holster and insert the scaffold spanner head-first into the structured body, with the handle extending from the bottom. Ensure the spanner seats correctly within the internal webbing loop.
Step 2: Secure the holster to a belt, harness webbing, or scaffold rail using the rear Quick Connect buckle. Press the buckle firmly until it clicks fully into the locked position. Confirm the lock before ascending.
Step 3: Attach a rated tool lanyard to one of the two D-ring anchor points. Connect the other end of the lanyard to a rated attachment point on the scaffold spanner.
Step 4: If tethering a second tool from the holster, attach a second rated lanyard to the remaining D-ring anchor point and connect to the second tool.
Step 5: Check all connections before beginning work at height: Quick Connect locked, both lanyard connections secure, and the spanner correctly seated with the head fully inside the holster.
Common mistakes

Using the holster without attaching a rated lanyard from the D-ring to the scaffold spanner. The holster stores and positions the spanner. A rated lanyard connecting the D-ring to the tool is required for compliant dropped object prevention at height.

Attaching the holster to a scaffold rail without confirming the Quick Connect closes fully around the rail diameter. Verify the buckle locks positively before committing weight to the attachment.

Exceeding 5kg per anchor point. Each D-ring is independently rated to 5kg. Do not connect tools exceeding this limit to a single anchor point, even if the combined tool weights remain below the total holster rating.

Not inspecting the Quick Connect buckle before each use. A buckle that does not click positively into a locked position must not be used at height.
Safety
Certified to ANSI/ISEA 121-2023, CE, UKCA, and NS 9611:2022+AC. Maximum holster load is 5kg. Each D-ring anchor point is independently rated to 5kg. The holster positions and stores the spanner. A rated tool lanyard from the D-ring to the spanner is required for compliant dropped object prevention at height. This product is not a fall arrest device. After any drop event involving the holster, quarantine it and inspect all components using the NLG Inspection Checklist before returning to service.
Maintenance
Inspect the structured body, D-ring anchor points, orange webbing straps, Quick Connect buckle, and internal webbing loop before each use. Check the D-rings for deformation, the orange webbing for fraying or cuts, and the Quick Connect for positive locking action. Clean with a damp cloth, removing any concrete dust, oil, or debris from the buckle mechanism. Store away from solvents and direct sunlight. Scan the NLG ID tag to access inspection checklists and log records. Retire from service if the buckle fails to lock positively or any D-ring shows deformation.
